Perched in time

Perched in time. 2020.

A lone bird settles on the central pylon, the only living mark in a line of weathered timber slowly sinking into glassy water. The long exposure softens the sea into a quiet field of tone, so the smallest movements of wing and posture feel amplified against all that calm. I am interested in how these remnants of structure hold a memory of work and passage, now reduced to a faint rhythm of shapes and reflections.
